One of the most important dates in our calendar is just around the corner: the TBW. We're looking forward to visit Taichung, where OEMs and manufacturers of the bike industry will be meeting once again in the 3 major hotels of Taichung City. From 24th to 27th September innovations, technologies and trends of the next few years will be discussed here.

Event information: Through the Rocky Mountains
On Thursday, April 4, 2024 at 7 p.m. in Winnenden, our employee Markus will take you on his journey in the summer of 2018 on one of the most adventurous bicycle routes in the world - the Great Divide. You can read about his exciting cycling adventure at Velotraum in his travel reports 1 & 2. All event details can be found at ADFC or VHS Winnenden. Have fun!
60th birthday
Axel turns 60 today. So we're celebrating 60 years of cycling passion, which is showing in his and our work every single day. Happy birthday, boss!
SOS-Kinderdorf donation
Last year (2023) we donated to SOS-Kinderdorf and Stiftung Bethel again. The world is full of crises, wars and enormous challenges. Despite the difficult market situation and economic challenges in our industry and for us as a company, it is very important to us to think about the smallest and most vulnerable members of our society - because they are our future!

CMT 2024
Last weekend the "Cycling & Hiking Travel" event took place at CMT in Stuttgart. Some of our employees were visiting, as it is practically right on our doorstep. You can't miss the opportunity to get an overview of the innovations and trends from the various manufacturers, including some of our customers and partners. Enthusiastically bikes were tested on the course and exciting new details were examined very closely.
Company closed
We wish you all a joyful and relaxed festive season and a happy new year! At Velobyrd (by WM trading) we are heading into our well-deserved Christmas break by the end of the week. Starting the new year slow and comfortably we will be available again from Monday January 8th, 2024. Go celebrate, enjoy and stay healthy!

Discover Winnenden
At this year's company event we went on a historical journey through Winnenden's old town. Our families joined us. What a great opportunity to get to know our place of work from a different perspective. Young and old had a lot of fun.

Last week Axel had the opportunity to take part in the Winnenden economic dialogue “ForumW”. A very successful event format that discusses current, interesting topics and offers the opportunity to network and exchange locally.

Since November Christof Bödiger is supporting us in production and QC. As an "old hand" in the industry with many years of experience in construction and product management he has worked with us before on several projects. We are happy!

Velobyrd is not a start-up, it's the consequence of more than 35 years of experience in the bike industry. WM trading will continue to exist, but will communicate under the VELOBYRD brand from now on. Here's to a continued wonderful cooperation!
Company Event Go-Cart
We competed, drove many laps, we overtook and lapped each other, best times were beaten, but most of all we laughed. Afterwards we had a great time with Greek tapas and celebrated the winner. Thanks for being such a great team!
The Boss at Work
The boss on his way through the Black Forest. Of course with his favorite means of transport. The first day at the top at a good 1,100 meters, 8°C and a mix of sun and rain. As soon as he went downhill into the Rhine Valley the next day, it became much warmer.
Company Event Barbecue
Traditionally, we usually grill in January. In 2022 we were happy to finally come together as a team again so this time we decided for a date in September - a BBQ date that we’ll be saving for the future as well.

Yana Milbaier started her apprenticeship as a wholesale and export merchant at WM trading 10 years ago. In January 2022 Yana took over the office management – here’s to the next 10 Years!
First employee bids farewell to retire
For the first time in the history of WM trading, we said goodbye to a valued employee who is retiring today.

Since May, our long-time colleague Robyn König has been strengthening Axel Keller’s management team as a procurator. As our previous sales manager, he has also taken over responsibility for the project management here in Winnenden.
